Progenta Projectservices was established in 1990 and has taken care of specialist cleaning maintenance for many organisations in various branches, such as care, retail and government, ever since. Over the years, the Progenta service package has been expanded with a range of additional services in specialist maintenance: from providing advice to supplying high-quality maintenance products.

1990 Progenta Projectservices established by Jelle Miedema Jelle read an advertisement for a 'miracle product' that could make carpets and furbishing material contamination and stain resistant. He establishes a company called Jecom which imports Fabric Seal and distributes this product to cleaning companies in the Netherlands. Fabric Seal delivered as promised and soon Jelle decided to shift his core business from a retail company to a service provider, starting Progenta Projectservices. |

1991 Progenta Projectservices as a franchise formula The first national retail chain store became a customer, making national coverage a must. Progenta became a franchise organisation with Koos van Dijkhuizen as franchisee in Elst, Ab Alblas in Assen and Cees Schrijver in Sittard. |

1994 Introduction of the ProFloor® system Increasingly, hard and elastic floors were being installed in buildings. Progenta introduced a unique procedure for the treatment of these types of floor: the ProFloor® system. |

1995 Introduction of periodic maintenance schedules Progenta realised that the life-cycle of floors could be prolonged by performing structural and periodic maintenance. Progenta introduced Periodic Carpet Maintenance (PTO) and Periodic Floor Maintenance (PVO). These systems provide structural and periodic maintenance when required, without the customer having to keep it in mind. |

2000-2004 New generation of managers Daan Alblas took over from his father on 1 January 2000 at Progenta Noord in Assen. |

2007 New organisation, new image The new generation soon ended the franchise formula. In order to be able to increase efficiency and guarantee quality, all activities would take place centrally at the main office in Elst (Utrecht) and an office in Borger. The time had come to update the house style and to give Progenta a 'new company image'. |

2010 - January ISO 9001 and 14001 achieved Progenta is the first organisation specialised in floor maintenance to obtain ISO certification. On 1 January 2010 Progenta obtained the 9001 Quality Management ISO certification and the 14001 Environmental Management ISO certification. |

2010 - September Progenta crosses the border! The first office in Belgium is established. Koen Rippen opens Progenta Bvba in Mechelen. Koen joined Progenta back in 2003. At the time he was a part-time specialist cleaner while studying business economics. Now he is the ambitious business manager that established Progenta Bvba, turning Progenta into a multinational. |
